Cinnamon Honey Apple Crumble

We love collaborating with other companies and had the pleasure of using our Cinnamon Honey in the Mix Company’s Apple Crumble Mix. They are an Ontario company who focuses on 100% gluten-free mixes; we drizzled (heavily) our Cinnamon Honey over the apples before adding the Mix Company’s apple crumble top.


If you can’t wait for the Mix Company’s apple crumble mix to ship to your door, here is an alternative recipe. This simple to remember recipe was made every year by Alicia’s Oma. The Dutch always go heavy on the butter consider yourself warned.






Apple Base

5-7 medium apples, peeled, cored and cut

1/2 cup Bee Savvy Cinnamon Infused Honey

2 tablespoons lemon juice


Crumble topping

1-cup all-purpose flour

1-cup brown sugar

1-cup rolled oats

1-cup unsalted butter, soft

3 tablespoons ground cinnamon



Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine and heat (on low) the apples, honey and lemon juice for 15 minutes. Transfer the apple base into an ovenproof dish.

Make the crumble topping by combining flour, sugar, cinnamon, oats and butter.

Pour the apple base Spoon the crumble mixture over the apple and place the dish on a large baking tray. Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the crumble is golden and the apples are soft. Serve with ice cream. If you really want to wow your guests; drizzle some Bee Savvy Cinnamon Honey over the ice cream.
